In conjunction with the late Etan Manasse, Partner, Pentagram Design, we designed a 40’ x 60’ trade show exhibition. Our submission beat out five other contestants to win the opportunity to do the trade show exhibition. The exhibition was multipurpose, it could be broken down into smaller modular units down to a 10’ x 10’ exhibition for different venues.
The main components of the design were:
- a 40’ square inverted pyramid made of black screening produced by Moss Tent Makers. This roof had blinking lights running around its perimeter. Under this roof was a presentation stage and seating for 40 participants;
- to either side of the theater were two large conference / meeting rooms;
- in front of the theater were two 16’ high “electronic totem poles” with MCI LED graphics running up the sides of them;
- adjacent to the totems were two diagonally placed TV monitors;
- running on diagonal lines were several modular computerized stations where customers would be given demonstrations of products.
The entire booth was raised off the floor for the wiring and surfaced with a black molded rubber surface.
